Who we are

Meet the people behind Adrem Shipbrokers, experienced professionals with a shared focus on clarity, trust and long-term relationships.

Dyanne Thorn Leeson

Shipbroker since 2008, I combine international sales expertise with a genuine interest in people, transactions, and deal dynamics. With an MBA, studies at Lloyd’s Maritime Academy, and my qualifications in the Process Communication Model, I bring clarity, structure, and strategic insight to S&P negotiations. I don’t just facilitate transactions — I align interests, build trust, and coordinate deals that work for all parties involved.

Madeleine Kooy

I began my career in shipbroking in 1978, where I quickly developed a strong passion for connecting the right vessel with the right buyer. In 1998, I was honoured to be appointed as a sworn shipbroker by the Court of Rotterdam—an achievement I continue to take great pride in.

Throughout my career, I have placed particular importance on building long-term relationships and ensuring that every transaction is executed to the highest standard.

Our Focus

Adrem Shipbrokers is an independent shipbroker specialising in the sale, purchase, and valuation of seagoing general cargo and multipurpose vessels and cargo tonnage. We assist shipowners and investors in the sale and purchase of ships and provide substantiated valuations for strategic and financial decision-making.

Adrem works with a broad and carefully constructed international network of co-brokers and maritime professionals. These partnerships are based on long-term relationships, local market-specific knowledge and mutual trust. This gives us access to buyers and sellers in various regions, often outside the public market. For our clients, this means greater reach, better market information, and more efficient transactions.
